Throughout her 27-year career at IBM, Maria Garza-Lennon has successfully worked in various capacities with most of her time being spent with IBM’s world-renowned sales organization. As a Seller and Sales Manager, she consistently exceeded business objectives resulting in more challenging opportunities in several business units and across various geographies. Additionally, she held several Marketing positions which allowed her to deploy coverage strategies for key products and create promotions targeted at specific audiences and populations. Maria now focuses on Sales Learning and Culture Transformation at IBM. As a Global Sales Learning Manager, she manages a portfolio of sales learning offerings which focus on developing the best sales force and sales leadership in the world. Maria is an expert facilitator and Certified Life Coach who is frequently recruited to facilitate sales learning and leadership development around the world. Her open and engaging style coupled with her knowledge and understanding of organizational models help create possibilities for sellers and their leaders to view situations in different ways, expanding their thinking and accelerating problem resolution. Over the years, Maria has been very active with community organizations including SER Jobs for Progress of the Texas Gulf Coast, Houston Area Women’s Center, Women in Technology (WITI), Habitat for Humanity, and United Way of Greater Houston. More recently, her daily life provides her with the opportunity to volunteer and serve on the Boards of the local PTA and Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center (KVPAC.) In 2012, she received The President’s Volunteer Service Award.
