John Miles is a Navy veteran, investor, publisher, and internationally experienced CEO, COO, and CIO involved in civic, business, and charitable organizations. As EVP and Associate Publisher of Bold Business, John helps design internationally delivered technology solutions for Bold’s many clients in addition to the company’s publishing capabilities. He has led teams of more than Six Thousand in 15 locations across 5 continents. He brings a unique perspective on worldwide technology trends and issues. He built and deployed HR Systems, HR portals and learning management systems globally for two F50 companies.
Miles is an internationally recognized writer and speaker on leadership, business reinvention, digital transformation, career development, and entrepreneurship. He has an extensive keynote speaking experience at events as large as the Salesforce Dreamforce conference and Oracle OpenWorld. As COO/CIO John previously led Catalina Marketing to the runner-up for Tampa Bay Technology Company of the year. His entrepreneurial spirit is backed by 20+ years of large enterprise experience across media, retail, CPG, Big Data, financial services, technology, and software industries. He was previously CEO of Genius Central and ByOwner. Prior to these roles, John was the Global CIO at Dell, CTO and head of software development at Lowe’s Home Improvement, Chief Information Security Officer at Lend Lease and was a partner at Arthur Andersen. Miles also serves as an Operating Partner with the Virgo Investment Group with a focus on Technology, Healthcare and Media.
