Barry Givens in 2018 co-founded Collab Capital which, with partners Jewel Burks Solomon and Justin Dawkins, invests in Black founders to help nourish their generational wealth. He also serves as the Managing Director for the Cox Social Impact Program powered by Techstars and serves on the board for Venture Atlanta. In 2012, Givens founded hardware technology company Monsieur which launched on Techcrunch Disrupt Battlefield, a prestigious platform for tech. At Monsieur, Givens and his team notably developed a patented mixing technology that evolved the way the hospitality industry markets, sells, and dispenses mixed adult beverages. In his years prior, after earning his Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, he gained experience at John Deere as a design engineer and with Caterpillar as a product manager.
