Crystal Redfern is the Director of Clinical Improvement for Novant Health. In her current role, Redfern designs and implements clinical quality improvement initiatives that enhance healthcare quality by reducing unwarranted clinical variations and addressing health inequities in the community. Redfern worked to help eliminate the gap in breast cancer screening for Asian and Latina patients. Additionally, Redfern served as the co-lead for the Novant Health Transgender Health Care Pathway. Redfern is currently assisting with improving maternal and fetal health outcomes in the Black community. Outside of work, Redfern is a co-founder of Queen City Volleyball Academy, a non-profit youth volleyball organization that exists to expand access to the sport in the Charlotte Metro region. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University, and a Master of Science in biomedical sciences from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
