At Burlington, they embrace the many facets of diversity that strengthen their communities and company. They understand that everyone deserves to be treated with empathy and understanding. Burlington also understands the value of having multiple voices of different backgrounds represented in their company. As such they make sure when recruiting to find the best talent from diverse backgrounds. These recruits are welcomed into an inclusive workplace, committed to equality. To ensure this, Burlington has created several Inclusion & Diversity which represent the different facets of their workforce. These councils are made up of associate volunteers who meet regularly to find ways to build on the strength of Burlington’s diversity efforts and help drive positive change throughout the company.
Burlington also utilizes partnerships to promote change. Burlington has been a proud sponsor of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Greater Philadelphia Gala for three consecutive years. Burlington is an active supporter of the Black Retail Action Group or BRAG, non-profit organization dedicated to helping prepare students of color for executive leadership roles. Last but not at all least, in 2020 Burlington became a Founding Partner of AdoptAClassroom.org’s Racial Equity in Schools Fund to provide professional development and resources to help schools address racial bias and achieve positive outcomes.
