“You need to harness the collective uniqueness of those around you to widen your field of vision – to see things differently, to fail harder, to innovate, and to question everything. Widening that field of vision means widening your worldview.”- Ajay Banga, Executive Chairman

At Mastercard, diversity, equity, and inclusion are a top priority. Mastercard’s Global Inclusion Council helps the organization to cultivate a culture of inclusion and belonging at every level. The council provides a global perspective, with members representing all of Mastercard’s business regions – North America, Latin America/Caribbean, Europe, Asia/Pacific, and Middle East and Africa. Co-chaired by Chief Executive Officer, Michael Miebach and the General Counsel, the GIC meets regularly and actively seeks ways to support and grow the organization’s inclusive culture in order to enhance value for all employees, customers, shareholders and communities. Additionally, over half of Mastercard’s workforce are members of one of their nine global Business Resource Groups. Mastercard also partners with multiple other organizations to aid them in building and sustaining an inclusive company culture. These organizations include but are not limited to: the National Urban League, Best Buddies, Puerto Rican Legal Defense Fund, Human Rights Campaign, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
