Some examples of recognition related to these efforts in 2020 include: Principal was one of 100 companies to be named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute for the nineth year, which recognizes organizations that have had a material impact on the way business is conducted by fostering a culture of ethics and transparency at every level of the company. We were also Included in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) for our commitment to transparency in gender-data reporting. Principal scored 100% on the Disability Equality Index (DEI) for our disability inclusion efforts. We were recognized by Working Mother as a Working Mother 100 Best Companies. DBP Inclusion Index recognized our diversity and inclusion best practices. We were named one of the NAFE 2020+ Top Companies for Executive Women. Forbes included us as one of the Best Employers for Women. We earned a 100% score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation Corporate Equality Index for support of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer equality in the workplace. Also, Principal Hong Kong was awarded a “Good MPF Employer” for the sixth consecutive year.
Principal lives their core values in many ways. In 2020, the Principal team was responsible for $5 million in donations and 22,000 volunteer hours. Some of the volunteer hours were dedicated to supporting the iJag high school pipeline program, many social and environmental projects and numerous ERG community outreach programs.
