Raytheon Technologies is dedicated to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion throughout their company and beyond. For this reason, they have recently launched a major multi-year plan to create meaningful and measurable progress in advancing DEI. This plan has four pillars for action focused on the following: workforce diversity, community engagement, public policy and supplier diversity. To expand their workforce diversity, Raytheon is setting specific DEI goals and metrics to address representation of women and people of color in senior roles. In order to heighten their community engagement, Raytheon has committed to Connect Up, a 10-year, $500 million corporate responsibility initiative to advance equitable opportunities in STEM education, career development and community wellbeing. They have also committed to a partnership with SMASH and to donate $25 million to address education and food insecurity in racially and ethnically marginalized communities. To increase the presence of DEI in public policy, the company is using data about underrepresented communities to inform their advocacy for local education reform. They are also leading a consortium in aerospace and defense to lobby for increased programs to support Black and Hispanic students in STEM education, among other initiatives. Lastly, Raytheon is diversifying their supply chain by committing to directing more spending toward minority-owned suppliers and launching a supplier mentorship program for women and minority-owned suppliers
