Jakki Opollo is the Vice President of Talent Initiatives and Regional Chief Diversity Officer at Atrium Health, Wake Forest Baptist. Prior to this role she served as the Vice President of Nursing Talent Acquisition & Strategy at Atrium Health, Charlotte. In alignment with the Enterprise Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) agenda, Opollo is responsible for overseeing a regional/organizational strategy to build and strengthen structures, programs, and practices to provide an inclusive environment for patients, teammates, and the communities Atrium Health serves. This includes collaborating with senior leadership across all disciplines to embed DEI best practices in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of programming and organizational strategies to drive progressive outcomes in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Additionally, her role is integral to supporting broad organizational initiatives related to organizational culture, and teammate engagement. Opollo holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center
