Housseine Essaheb, a currently serves as the Assistant Vice President Actuary of the Actuarial University of Pacific Life Insurance Company. Prior to this role, he was the Annuity Modeling and Transformation lead for the Retirement Solutions Division at Pacific Life (PL). In that position he was responsible for leading transformation efforts to revolutionize modeling capabilities, enhance analytics and streamline efforts at cross valuation, risk, and product development.

Essaheb is actively involved in the insurance industry serving as council member of the actuarial modeling section and has authored and presented modeling topics including validation, optimization and LDTI implementation. In addition, he is a member of PL’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) council and spearheading Actuarial’ s partnership with diversity organizations and broader DEI efforts. He currently serves on the Corporate Advisory Council of the International Association of Black Actuaries (IABA). He received his certifications from the Society of Actuaries and the American Academy of Actuaries.
